2006 Annual General Membership Assembly

      The Municipality of Lambayong hosted the 27th Annual General Membership Assembly of Sultan Kudarat Electric Coop., Inc. on May 1, 2006. This is not the first time that Lambayong had hosted the annual assembly since the organization of SUKELCO in 1975.

      The 2006 annual assembly was graced by Engr. Manuel A. Hamoy, Jr., Department Manager, Southwestern Mindanao Area of Transmission Corporation (TRANSCO). Engr. Hamoy enlightened the member-consumers on the new thrust of TRANSCO under its new charter by virtue of RA 9136 otherwise known as “Electric Power Industry Reform Act of 2001”.

      Host Municipality Mayor Ramon M. Abalos gladly welcomed the 1,675 member-consumers in attendance, Board of Directors, Officers and Employees of SUKELCO. Likewise, he administered the oath of office of the new set of officers of the SUKELCO Board of Directors namely; Dir. Cecilio C. Mejia, President/Chairman; Dir. Oscar F. Grino, Vice President/Vice Chairman; Dir. Generosa S. Forro, Secretary; Dir. Benjamin Zamora, Treasurer; and Dir. Danilo DG. Villamar, Public Relation Officer.

      A privilege was also given to the member-consumers to ask questions during the open-forum moderated by Dir. Danilo DG. Villamar. The annual assembly was ended with the drawing of raffles for the member-consumers attended. Valuable items and goods were given away to the lucky winners.
